When a refund is available

Under our contractual refund policy, a refund is available only when the relevant city, county, or building department formally rejects the permit application because of a documented error or omission attributable to Budget Site Plans within the agreed drawing scope.

The customer must provide written evidence from the reviewing authority identifying the rejection and its reason. The evidence must establish that the rejection resulted from our drawing error or omission, rather than project eligibility, customer-supplied information, or requirements outside the purchased service.

Rejection versus a request for revisions

A request for corrections, revisions, clarification, additional information, or resubmission is handled under our Revision and Corrections Policy and does not, by itself, qualify for a refund.

An application described as “rejected,” “denied,” or “not approved” may still be a request to correct and resubmit drawings. We assess the substance of the authority’s written comments, rather than the status label alone.

Refund deadline

A complete refund request, including the supporting rejection evidence, must be received within 60 calendar days of the original purchase date.

Requests received after that deadline are not eligible under this contractual refund policy. A request received within the deadline will remain eligible for assessment even if our review or payment processing concludes afterward.

Situations that do not qualify for a refund

Subject to any rights required by applicable law, refunds are not available in the following situations:

Change of mind: The customer no longer wants the drawings or decides not to proceed with the project.
Project cancellation: The project is cancelled, postponed, sold, or otherwise abandoned for reasons unrelated to an error in our work.
Revision requests: The reviewing authority asks for corrections, clarification, additional notes, or resubmission rather than issuing a qualifying rejection.
Incorrect customer information: The issue results from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading measurements, sketches, records, or instructions supplied by the customer.
Undisclosed site conditions: The issue results from conditions that were not disclosed and could not reasonably be identified from the available source material.
Planning or property restrictions: The project is refused because of zoning, permitted use, deed restrictions, easements, ownership disputes, or other project restrictions unrelated to an error within our agreed scope.
Additional professional services: The authority requires a certified survey, engineering calculations, a professional seal, or another service expressly excluded from the purchased package.
Changes after ordering: The customer changes the design, property, project scope, or intended use, or new external circumstances make the original drawings unsuitable.
Unsubstantiated rejection: The customer cannot provide written authority comments establishing a qualifying rejection attributable to Budget Site Plans.
Late requests: The complete refund request and supporting evidence are received more than 60 calendar days after purchase.

Submitting a request

Email budgetsiteplans@gmail.com with:

Your order number and purchase date.
The property address.
The drawings submitted for review.
The authority’s complete rejection notice and relevant correspondence.
A description of the error or omission you believe caused the rejection.

If approved, the refund will cover the amount paid for the affected drawing service. Separately delivered services are not automatically refundable.

Permit fees, survey costs, engineering fees, contractor costs, and other third-party expenses are outside this contractual refund policy. Any liability or remedy required by applicable law remains unaffected.

Free revision period

Eligible corrections and minor revisions are included at no additional charge when requested within 45 calendar days of the original purchase date.

The request and sufficient information to understand the required changes must be received within that period. An eligible request received on time remains covered if we complete the work after the 45-day period.

The revision period runs from the original purchase date, not from delivery, permit submission, or receipt of department comments.

What is included

Free corrections and revisions within the 45-day period include:

Correcting drafting mistakes attributable to Budget Site Plans.
Adding information or features that were included in the agreed scope but omitted from the drawing.
Correcting dimensions, labels, or notes that we transcribed incorrectly from the information supplied.
Minor changes requested by the customer or reviewing authority that remain within the original project scope and do not require substantial redrafting.

Minor revisions may include a small label adjustment, a clarifying note, or a limited location or dimension change that does not require reworking the overall layout or structural arrangement.

What is not included

The free revision allowance does not include:

Major design changes or substantial changes to the original layout.
A different property, replacement project, or new project phase.
Additional structures, drawing sheets, or services outside the purchased scope.
Substantial changes to deck size, height, framing, stairs, loading, or attachment.
Extensive redrafting caused by materially incorrect or incomplete customer information.
Changes arising from new site conditions, revised project instructions, or external circumstances unrelated to an error in our work.
Additional surveys, engineering, professional certification, or other excluded services.

A correction does not become chargeable merely because it takes substantial time if it is necessary to remedy our own error within the agreed scope and was requested within the free revision period.

Chargeable revisions

Requests received after 45 calendar days, and changes outside the free revision scope, require a separate quotation based on the work involved.

We will explain the proposed scope and fee before beginning chargeable work. No additional work will proceed without the customer’s approval.

Any responsibility to correct deficient services under applicable law remains unaffected by this time limit.

How to request changes

Email budgetsiteplans@gmail.com with your order number, the latest drawing version, and a clear list of requested changes.

For department comments, provide the complete notice or email, including any marked-up drawings. For customer changes, provide the revised measurements, sketch, or other supporting information.

Please consolidate known comments into one request where possible to help us revise the drawings consistently.

Revisions and refund eligibility

A department request to revise or resubmit drawings is handled under this policy. It does not automatically establish eligibility for a refund.

Refund eligibility is assessed separately under the Refund Policy. The 45-day free revision period and 60-day refund-request period are separate deadlines.

Our services
Budget Site Plans provides remotely prepared site plans, deck drawings, and related drafting services. Each order is limited to the features, drawings, and deliverables described in the selected product or an agreed written quotation.
Additional drawings, services, or changes outside that scope may require a separate quotation. Any additional charge will be communicated for approval before the additional work begins.
Site plans are not surveys
Our site plans are prepared using available public records, county GIS information, satellite imagery, existing surveys or plot plans, and information supplied by the customer.
We do not visit the property, take field measurements, establish legal property boundaries, or locate concealed or underground features. Our drawings are not boundary, topographic, or other certified surveys and must not be represented or used as such.
The accuracy of these sources varies. Customers must identify known discrepancies and provide accurate measurements or supporting records where needed.
Unsigned and unsealed drawings
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, our drawings are not professionally signed, stamped, sealed, or certified by a licensed surveyor, architect, or engineer.
Deck drawing services provide structural construction details based on applicable prescriptive guidelines, including American Wood Council guidance where applicable and published local requirements. They do not include project-specific engineering calculations or licensed engineering certification.
If your project or reviewing authority requires a survey, engineered design, professional seal, or another service outside the purchased scope, that service must be obtained separately.
Customer responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:

Providing the correct property address, project description, measurements, and supporting information.
Disclosing relevant site conditions, existing structures, proposed changes, and known restrictions.
Providing available department checklists, special submission requirements, and review comments.
Reviewing the draft and promptly identifying incorrect or missing information.
Confirming that the purchased service is appropriate for the intended application.

We remain responsible for performing the agreed drafting service with reasonable care. Customer review does not excuse an error attributable to our work.
Permit applications and approval
Our drawings support the application described in your order. Approval decisions are made by the relevant building department, municipality, county, HOA, or other reviewing authority.
Purchasing drawings does not guarantee permit approval, zoning approval, a variance, or permission to begin work. An authority may request additional documents or services beyond the purchased drawing scope.
Delivery and payment
Delivery estimates begin when we have received the required payment and sufficient project information. Missing information, customer changes, or necessary clarification may affect the delivery schedule.
The order form or written quotation determines the total price, any upfront payment, and the balance-payment requirements. An upfront payment forms part of the total service price.
Intellectual property and permitted use
Budget Site Plans retains copyright and other intellectual property rights in its original drawings, templates, drafting details, and work product, to the extent those rights are held by us.
Upon full payment, the customer receives a non-exclusive license to reproduce and submit the final drawings for permit, HOA, zoning, and related approval applications for the specific property and project identified in the order. The customer may share them with contractors and professional advisers for that application process.
The drawings may not be resold, sublicensed, reused for another property or project, or incorporated into a commercial template library without our written permission. They may not be represented as professionally sealed or certified drawings.
This license does not authorize construction use. If construction use is required, it must be expressly included in the written order scope.
Customers retain ownership of materials they supply and authorize us to use those materials to complete their order.
Changes made by others
We are not responsible for errors introduced through alterations made by the customer or another party without our involvement. Any review of an altered drawing requires an agreed scope.
Applicable rights and policy changes
These terms, including the refund and revision policies below, do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Updated terms apply to future orders; the terms accepted when an order was placed govern that order unless both parties agree otherwise.

Providing the correct property address, project description, measurements, and supporting information.

Disclosing relevant site conditions, existing structures, proposed changes, and known restrictions.

Providing available department checklists, special submission requirements, and review comments.

Reviewing the draft and promptly identifying incorrect or missing information.
